Time Magazine Cover Slams Teachers

Time magazine is about to use its cover to blame teachers for the problems in America’s schools. On Monday, Nov. 3, this cover will be in every supermarket checkout line and newsstand across the country—and it’s already online. I just signed this petition demanding Time apologize to teachers. Will you join me?   http://action.aft.org/c/44/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=9270&sp_ref=71376278.191.9876.e.38284.3&tag=email

Team Leader MOA and Job Description

Some of our members have asked for clarification regarding job descriptions for Team Leader positions.  With that in mind, I have included some language from one of our Memorandums of Agreement with the district regarding the expected role and responsibilities of these teacher-leaders.  It should be noted that team leaders are not administrative, or even […]

I requested WHAT?

A note to everybody– I set up a site feature called “Subscriptions” that will send an e-mail to you when a new post is published on the site. It sent an e-mail to you saying you had requested access to the feature–even though it was me who put your name in. You need to enable […]

JETA is Back!

School has started, and JETA is back in action! Enjoy some poorly framed and backlit pictures of a few of your friends who were somewhat willing to pose during 4th period on the second day of school! Stay tuned–there are more shots coming, especially when I can recruit some photographers from Elbridge Elementary!

So many questions–let’s party.

Is it a Pi Day Celebration? Is it a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration? Is it some sort of spring JETA gathering at The Wayside? Is it a Friday afternoon in the most miserable month that Central New York has to offer? Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Will more or fewer people show up if we […]
